Attorney Background
Life events molded many of my attributes as a trial lawyer: mental and emotional toughness, grit and resilience to withstand adversity, the ability to carry my client, if necessary, through the expected and unexpected turbulence of litigation and trial, intuitive action, resourcefulness, empathy, compassion and a passion to succeed, the ability to solve problems in unorthodox and unique ways, a willingness to not just take the easy path but a willingness to walk through the rocky path if that means a better result for my client. I am focused, intense, smart and determined to get the best result the circumstances present. A client once described it as I have “a fire within”.
I have been a civil trial attorney for fifteen years. I have earned six and seven figure verdicts and negotiated six and seven figure settlements. My range of client representation and areas of practice are wide. I have represented both plaintiffs and defendants in civil trials. I have practiced in the area of torts, contracts, constitutional law and insurance defense with a strong focus on fraud. I have represented major companies and their elite executives in complex litigation that faced great financial risk. In turn, I have represented many reasonable persons who were unjustly wronged, small business, employees, upper management, the poor and the homeless. Despite the vast differences in wealth and power among these clients all had one thing in common – a vexing problem to be solved. All were treated with the same dignity, intensity and professionalism. I have also sued global corporations, municipalities, and businesses. Consequently, I have a deep understanding of both David and Goliath’s perspective in a fight. This insight is an excellent guide post for me in trial, litigation and dispute resolution. This knowledge and experience will be a great benefit to my future client whether you are David or Goliath or somewhere in between.
